Where In The World Have I Been?
April 30, 2009
Thats a pretty good question. I’ve got a half decent answer; all. over. the. place. Instead of typing a bunch of stories and questions just so I can answer them, I’ll just take the photo-journalistic approach to cover the last week of my life.
Ready, set, go.
I went an hung out with my dear friends NeedToBreathe at the photoshoot for their new record.
Next was a 5AM airport call to head off for a few shows. That included checking 40 bags for 14 people..yikes.
After a show in Raleigh, we flew 2,800 miles across the country for a quick show north of Sacramento..and of course that meant flying over the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
After rocking Nor-Cal, I fell asleep on the bus in the Redwood Forest and woke up in sunny Southern California for a busy, but great afternoon in front of 50,000 people.
After a little post-show hang time, I hopped back on the bus and woke up at the Phoenix airport ready to make my 1,700 mile trek home.
There ya go…7,000 miles in 4 days. Am I tired? Not really…Midnight bus call tonight to do it all over again. Thank you and goodnight.
Think Tank
April 13, 2009
I’ve got some ideas. Some big, some small…but none the less I’ve got them. I’m trying to put them together. You’ll be seeing their fruits hopefully sooner than later.
In other news, I officially have a schedule for the year and for that I am very thankful. I’m excited. I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love for a living, especially in the midst of an economic hardship. My job doesn’t feel the slightest bit like work to me, and that is an interesting feeling.
By interesting of course I mean freaking awesome. Good day.
West Coastin’
April 6, 2009
This weekend we had a few shows out on the West coast, and let me tell you that there are few things I love more than hanging out West.
The first show was a festival slot outside of Phoenix. We landed around 1 or 2, got picked up by the bus and drove straight to the stage for load in and sound check. It was rather hectic, but we all made it out alive and had the rest of the evening to kick back and hang.
Friday morning I woke up here…

Our buses parked next to the Staples Center, and our stage for that night, Club Nokia in downtown LA.
I love Southern California, and particularly I love what I like to call the trifecta, which consists of 3 very fantastic establishments that are exclusive to California; In-N-Out, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Pinkberry. I had plenty of all 3, and left a very happy and full young man.
Have I mentioned lately that I love my job?
